Everyone will be paying close attention to the rookie season of San Antonio Spurs big man Victor Wembanyama.
Some people expect him to be the most impressive rookie of all time, while others suspect he may be overhyped.
In just a few months, he will be able to show what he is capable of.
According to Marc Stein, Wembanyama’s first game in the NBA will be on October 25, against Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks.
That means that Wembanyama’s inaugural regular season game will be against another international superstar.
Who will come out on top?
Victor Wembanyama's first official NBA game is tentatively slated for Oct. 25, league sources say, with Wembanyama's Spurs due to play host to Dallas and Luka Dončić.
The NBA's full formal 2023-24 schedule release is expected next week.

There have been a few leaks of the upcoming NBA schedule before next week’s proper release.
This is just one of them but it might be the most exciting yet.
Fans, analysts, writers, and even casual fans are beyond excited to see Wembanyama play his first NBA game.
The anticipation around the star is so high, in fact, that he played his first Summer League game in Las Vegas to a sold-out crowd.
But the buzz around this October 25 game will be even higher.
That’s because it’ll be after a few months of Wembanyama training and working with his regular teammates and coaching staff.
Still, it might be some time before he’s the generational talent that some expect him to be.
Even with his experience overseas, playing in the NBA is a whole different ballgame and the competition won’t go easy on him.
Doncic and Mavericks definitely won’t as they have something to prove after last season.
Doncic will surely welcome Wembanyama into the league with open arms, but then he will do everything in his power to defeat him.
