The San Antonio Spurs won the NBA Draft lottery in 2023, an outcome that could change the course of their franchise.
With the right to the No. 1 overall pick, the Spurs selected Victor Wembanyama, said to be a generational talent.
Wembanyama is already the betting favorite to win Rookie of the Year, but he has recently discussed a different milestone that he would like to hit.
According to Wembanyana via Andrew Lopez and Ball Don’t Lie, his main goal is to play every game this season.

This is likely in response to the NBA’s current discussions about load management.
Many of the league’s top players have adopted this mindset, either taking games off to rest or requesting a diminished workload for a particular game.
LeBron James is the latest example of this, playing less than 30 minutes in the Los Angeles Lakers’ season opener.
Wembanyama played professional basketball before coming to the NBA and is used to the physical nature of the game.
He seems determined to help bring the Spurs out of the mire and is willing to do whatever it takes to make that happen.
The Spurs might not make the playoffs in Wembanyama’s first season, but if these comments are any indication, it won’t be because of a lack of effort on his part.
Wembanyana makes his season debut on October 25th against the Dallas Mavericks.
Fans will get a firsthand look at what the phenom can do at the NBA level, and he’ll be tested right away by the Spurs’ in-state rival.
