Victor Wembanyama of the San Antonio Spurs has been through a lot lately, and he has only played in just two Summer League games.
For months now, he has been the focus of immense attention.
People have said he is the savior of the Spurs, the future of the league, and someone who could change the NBA forever.
Every move he makes is closely monitored and a normal life is definitely a thing of the past for the French star.
Therefore, he deserves a break even before his first season truly begins.
According to Justin Russo, via Legion Hoops, Wembanyama has said that he is going to “disappear from the media” during the offseason so that he can enjoy his life and go on vacation before the regular season starts.

Wembanyama will need to get as much R&R as he can because he is about to enter the most exciting, intense, and perhaps rewarding phase of his life.
When 2023-24 begins, Wembanyama will be the centerpiece of the Spurs and he will be gaining even more attention – and scrutiny.
We have already seen some of that in the Summer League.
After his first game, commentators, fans, and analysts were being incredibly critical of his performance and picked it apart for days.
Wembanyama responded with a much stronger second game that silenced those same critics.
If Wembanyama hopes to be the generational talent people say he is, he will need to rest his mind as well as his body.
The best way to do that is to spend time with friends and family and soak up the last summer before his NBA career truly begins.
