Victor Wembanyama of the San Antonio Spurs has taken this summer very seriously.
He has been all over the globe, meeting with different people and trying new techniques of training in order to be a better player.
He thinks it’ll all pay off in the 2025-26 season.
Speaking of what’s ahead, Wembanyama summed up how hard he’s been working.
“I can assure you no one has trained like me this summer… I’m so much under control and my conditioning is better. What I have done this summer is world class,” Wembanyama said.

This is a threat to the rest of the NBA, because Wembanyama thinks he’s about to get better and raise the already-high bar that has been set for him.
Wembanyama has met with former NBA icons like Kevin Garnett, spent time with monks, and focused on improving his phyiscal and mental states.
All of this is paving the path for what may be his best season yet.
He was already great last year, but a physical problem got in his way and wasn’t able to play for the full season.
But he has worked his way through that and has seemingly gotten even better.
This is nothing but great news for the Spurs, who have been waiting to turn a corner and actually compete in the West.
With these improvements from Wembanyama, as well as new recuits like De’Aaron Fox, there is good reason to believe in the team.
The better Wembanyama is, the better the squad will be.
He has worked hard this summer, and now it’s time to see if it’ll pay off.
