Chris Paul is now officially a member of the San Antonio Spurs, meaning he will get to play with Rookie of the Year Victor Wembanyama.
This could be a match made in heaven and Wembanyama is clearly very excited by his new teammate.
Speaking to Hector Ledesma, per ClutchPoints, Wembanyama talked about what Paul has already brought to the team.
He spoke of Paul’s vast basketball knowledge and all the wisdom he has to share with other players, regardless of their position on the team.

Wembanyama had an incredible rookie year and actually surpassed amazing and sky-high expectations.
But throughout all of 2023-24, many experts said Wembanyama would play even better if he had a stronger team around him.
There were countless people who felt he needed an experienced veteran guard to help him.
They don’t get much more experienced than Paul, who has been in the NBA for 19 seasons and has played for a number of teams and has a ton of postseason experience.
He is coming to this team as a trusted and proven guard who knows the game inside and out.
He really could help the Spurs, and Wembanyama, reach the next level.
Wembanyama already has a very smart basketball mind but it could get even smarter in 2024-25.
Additionally, he will have more assistance on the court and will learn quite a few things from Paul.
This could be one of the smartest moves the Spurs have made since acquiring Wembanyama.
