We are already in June, and we have seen more than two months of MLB baseball in 2022.
That’s enough games to start recognizing some of the leading candidates to win the World Series, even if we all acknowledge that lots of things can, and will, happen between now and October.
FOX Bet Live released its updated World Series odds two months into the season, with a few surprises.
Let’s see the list:

The first thing that comes to mind is that it’s a bit surprising to see a different team than the New York Yankees leading the list.
The Yankees not only lead the league in record (their 44-16 record puts them five games ahead of their closest competitor, the New York Mets), but they also pace MLB in run differential with +127.
The Dodgers are +106.
The Best Of The Rest
The Mets, Houston Astros, Toronto Blue Jays, Atlanta Braves, Milwaukee Brewers, San Diego Padres, Chicago White Sox, and Tampa Bay Rays complete the top ten, in that strict order (from third to tenth).
It’s a bit surprising to see the Blue Jays ranked higher than the reigning World Series champions and a team that made the playoffs last year, the Milwaukee Brewers.
But Toronto looks like the real deal and will make some noise in 2022.
It’s also shocking to see the White Sox ninth (ahead of the Rays!) when they have a losing record, at 28-31.
Additionally, there are some notable absences in FOX Bet Live’s top ten list.
For example, the San Francisco Giants, who won 107 games to lead MLB last year, and the NL Central-leading St. Louis Cardinals are not in the list.
There is still a lot of faith around the league and the industry that the White Sox are going to turn their season around as they get healthier.
