For most of the 2010s decade, the Houston Rockets relied on the brilliance of James Harden to lead them to successful seasons.
However, upon Harden’s departure from the team during the 2020-21 NBA season, the Rockets entered a rebuilding phase.
The Rockets have struggled to play well over the past few seasons, but there are still a few silver linings to their problems.
They have found multiple young players, such as Jalen Green, Cam Whitmore, and Alperen Sengun, capable of leading the team to glory in the future.
Speaking of Green and Whitmore’s duo, Los Angeles Clippers head coach Tyronn Lue dropped a huge comparison for them, via NBACentral.
“T-Mac and Vince Carter when they got to Toronto. It reminds me a lot of those two guys… Kind of the same duo over here in Houston,” Lue said, per The Athletic.

Lue has been connected to the NBA for decades, previously as a player and now as a coach.
Keeping that in mind, Lue is undoubtedly capable of identifying talented players in the NBA.
The Clippers head coach dropped verdict on the duo of Green and Whitmore.
He compared them to none other than Tracy McGrady and Vince Carter during their time together for the Toronto Raptors.
McGrady and Carter are known for their phenomenal scoring abilities and athleticism during their respective NBA careers.
Although they went on to become two iconic players during the 2000s, McGrady and Carter played just two seasons together as members of the Raptors.
The Rockets will undoubtedly expect to have them on the roster for a longer period of time than that.
Whether the organization can keep the duo happy for the foreseeable future or not could define the future.
