Tyrese Haliburton of the Indiana Pacers is considered one of the greatest and most exciting young players in the league.
Obviously, he gets his numerous skills from practice and dedication to the game.
But he claims he is a basketball expert for another reason too.
According to Rob Mahoney, via NBA Retweet, Haliburton credits the NBA2K games for his knowledge and on-court intelligence.
Haliburton said:
“Honestly, a lot of my hoop knowledge in knowing how to play comes from video games, When you’re playing 2K and you’re on that camera angle where you can see everything ahead of you, that’s how I think sometimes.”

This a very unique but thoughtful and interesting response.
Haliburton is right when he said that video games allow a perspective that isn’t always possible in person.
By playing games, Haliburton is able to comprehend and envision the court in a way that allows him to read his opponents and his teammates better.
Haliburton is called one of the best passers in the entire league and that might partly be because of his hobby of playing games.
There are many times when it feels like he has eyes in the back of his head or some sort of sixth sense that allows him to find his teammates and deftly lob them the ball.
Haliburton currently leads the league in assists with 12.2 per game.
Meanwhile, his Pacers are the third-best team in the East with a surprisingly strong 6-4 record.
Over the last few seasons, Haliburton has become the team’s leader and has upped his game and developed an even bigger following.
No matter where he gets them, Haliburton’s skills are shining brightly.
