Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill caught a ton of attention when he chose his current quarterback, Tua Tagovailoa, over Patrick Mahomes.
His statement was a double-edged sword because he could fall out of grace from his current squad if he did not favor Tagovailoa.
He might be tagged as a distraction after signing up for one team but preferring another play-caller.
Therefore, he has to live with his choice which also puts pressure on Tagovailoa to perform well, especially with his fellow 2020 draftees Joe Burrow and Justin Herbert establishing themselves as bonafide franchise quarterbacks.
But if Hill picking Tagovailoa over Mahomes alone isn’t strange enough, he compared their partnership to an unlikely couple.

HIll said during his recent It Needed To Be Said Podcast, “Expect a Dennis Rodman and a Carmen Electra connection.”
What’s weird about the comparison is that Rodman filed for divorce nine days after marrying Electra.
Is that a subconscious hint that their partnership will also implode?
With the roster the Dolphins currently have, Tagovailoa has a chance to prove that he is worthy of becoming the team’s longtime quarterback.
He did generate some momentum in the second half of last season and he is looking to build from that experience.
If he can’t do anything with the talent surrounding him, it won’t be long before the Dolphins will look at other options at quarterback.
Tua Has All The Weapons He Needs
The Dolphins should compete for a playoff spot now that they have Hill, Cedrick Wilson, and Jaylen Waddle at wide receiver.
Their backfield also has a solid rotation of Chase Edmonds, Raheem Mostert, and Sony Michel.
The protection for Tagovailoa also improved through Connor Williams and Terron Armstead.
Therefore, Tagovailoa has no excuse to fail with this talented roster.
Otherwise, it would be easy to spot that he is the weak link of a strong squad.
