The Miami Dolphins are currently 5-1, which is tied for the best record in the NFL, and their offense is one of the best people have seen in recent memory.
Fourth-year quarterback Tua Tagovailoa continues to make strides, and through six games this year, he is leading everyone in passing yards and passer rating, and he is tied with the Minnesota Vikings’ Kirk Cousins for the most touchdown passes thrown.
Yet some still refuse to give him his due, including ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith, and it led to teammate Tyreek Hill firing back in order to have his back, per Dov Kleiman.
Update: #Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill defended Tua while attacking Stephen A. Smith and other critics for not giving him his credit.
"For Stephen A. Smith to go out of his way and say that Tua isn’t worthy of being the MVP… it’s crazy to me."

Some feel Tagovailoa is nothing more than a “system quarterback” and that any other competent signal-caller would be putting up similar production in head coach Mike McDaniel’s offense.
However, it isn’t easy to post a 71.1 percent completion rate and throw for 1,874 yards and 14 touchdown passes while achieving a 114.1 passer rating through six games, as Tagovailoa has so far this year.
Thanks to his exploits, Miami leads the NFL in both points and total yards per game, and it has helped Hill have a season for the ages so far — 814 receiving yards and six touchdowns.
They have continued to be explosive despite losing standout rookie running back De’Von Achane to a knee injury a couple of weeks ago, and starting running back Raheem Mostert has picked up the slack nicely.
Tagovailoa, Hill, and company will have a statement game this Sunday evening on the road versus the defending NFC champion Philadelphia Eagles.
