The NBA could be in a lot of trouble if Victor Wembanyama keeps getting better.
It’s not very often that you see a player as skilled as he is, much less a guy with a 7-foot-4 frame.
Needless to say, his unique build also leaves the door open for some rather funny comments.
That was the case when Miami Heat star Tyler Herro was asked what it was like to play against Wembanyama.
Following his team’s 120-117 win over the San Antonio Spurs, Herro claimed that you always have to try different things and different angles to be able to finish over a guy like Wembanyama.
Then, he claimed that his length was crazy… Pause (via Zach Weinberger & ClutchPoints).
“[Victor Wembanyama] makes you bring out different things to finish over him. His length is crazy… pause.”

All jokes aside, his arm length is, in fact, out of this world.
Wembanyama has the potential to guard one through five, which isn’t usual for a player his size.
He has the lateral quickness to stay in front of smaller and quicker players, and we saw him being the most disruptive defensive force in the entire league in his rookie season.
Players were literally avoiding shooting wide-open layups or attempting dunks when he was looming around, single-handedly hampering countless fast-break opportunities.
The Spurs have found a unique talent, and it seems like he couldn’t have found a better place to start his NBA career.
He’s just getting started, and he’s going to keep getting stronger, faster, and better.
That spells trouble for the rest of the basketball world.
