Baseball is certainly an interesting game.
Crazy things can happen, and everybody usually chalks it up to baseball being baseball.
Tuesday night was a crazy night.
More often than not, teams don’t score 10 or more runs.
It’s even more rare for both teams to score that many runs in a game.
However, this happened in four games last night.
Three games ended with a final score of 11-10, while the Arizona Diamondbacks outlasted the Atlanta Braves, winning by a final of 16-13.
On Twitter, MLB insider Sarah Langs pointed out what took place on Tuesday night and discussed just how rare something like this is.
there have been 4 games today where BOTH TEAMS scored 10+ runs
that’s tied for the most such games on a single day all-time, with:

This actually happened twice during the 1894 season.
On July 4 and 9 of that season, there were four games in which both teams scored at least 10 runs.
Last night’s fireworks tied for the most such games in one day since then.
The San Francisco Giants defeated the Cincinnati Reds by a final score of 11-10.
The same thing happened with the New York Mets and the Chicago White Sox at Citi Field, with the Mets emerging victorious.
The Kansas City Royals also barely edged out the Detroit Tigers by the same score.
This certainly was a unique night of baseball and it ultimately goes to show that crazy things can happen in this game.
That’s what makes baseball so great.
But aside from the fact that baseball is a crazy game, this is still a very rare feat, and it’s not something you see happen very often, let alone in four games in the same day.
