The Miami Dolphins offense is off to a hot start.
They currently lead the league in points scored by a wide margin, scoring 36.2 points per game.
If they continue on this pace throughout the rest of the year, it would be the fifth-highest amount in league history.
This is not the only NFL record the Dolphins are on pace for.
Tua Tagovailoa is currently tracking to break the NFL record for passing yards in a single season, currently held by Peyton Manning.
While this might be an accomplishment that many quarterbacks strive for, it doesn’t seem to be a goal of Tagovailoa’s.
According to his comments from the team website via Pro Football Talk: “If we don’t get where we need to be as a team, none of that would mean anything to me.”

The Dolphins currently hold a 4-1 record, tied for the best record in the AFC.
They were one-and-done in the playoffs last year, largely due to Tagovailoa’s injuries.
If he stays healthy, the Dolphins are well on their way to another playoff berth, this time, with Super Bowl aspirations in mind.
They are widely viewed as one of the teams to beat in the AFC right now, a trend they would like to continue over the next several weeks.
Tagovailoa and the Dolphins face some difficult tests with their next several matchups.
Their next three opponents are the Carolina Panthers, Philadelphia Eagles, and New England Patriots.
Can they show the world that they are ready to take over as the AFC’s leader?
