Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence will be watching the playoffs at home for the second straight year after his team went 4-13 in the 2024 NFL season.
His season ended prematurely in Week 13 when he suffered a concussion on a violent hit from Azeez Al-Shaair of the Houston Texans, after he previously had to sit out two games because of a shoulder injury.
But as his long offseason begins, he has a very big reason to be happy and thankful.

Just two years ago, Lawrence seemed to be one of the NFL’s biggest rising stars.
He struggled as a rookie but played well in 2022, especially late in the season when Jacksonville won five games in a row and seven of its last nine.
In the wild-card round of the playoffs, Lawrence bounced back from a very rough first half against the Los Angeles Chargers to lead his team to a last-second win.
But he didn’t play well this season, and the five-year, $275 million contract extension he signed is starting to look like a questionable investment for the organization.
Jacksonville has several roster needs, and it will have the No. 5 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, which will give the franchise the opportunity to augment the roster and improve its chances of returning to the playoffs.
