The Philadelphia Phillies are playing some of their best baseball of the year at just the right time.
One player in particular also appears to be finding his old ways again.
Trea Turner, who signed with the defending National League champions for 11 years and $300 million, hasn’t had his best season to date.
The 30-year-old has hit 12 home runs, but has a batting average of just .243.
However, since Phillies fans gave him a nice standing ovation to show their support for their new superstar, he has found himself again.
On Twitter, Bob Nightengale posted some of Turner’s numbers over his last six games.

Turner is hitting .409 with two home runs and seven RBI in those six games.
He is also 9-for-22 in those games.
It hasn’t been a banner season for Turner by any stretch of the imagination.
However, his last six games have been a more accurate representation of who he is as a player.
The veteran shortstop hit a two-run homer on Thursday night as the Phillies defeated the Washington Nationals by a final score of 6-2.
The Phillies are going to need Turner to be at his best down the stretch as they make yet another playoff push.
They currently lead the NL Wild Card race by 1.5 games over the San Francisco Giants, who are in the second spot in the race.
Turner joined the Phillies in the offseason as the team looked to take another shot at winning a World Series after falling short against the Houston Astros last October.
A rejuvenated version of the star shortstop could give the Phillies the boost they need.
