It’s safe to say that Tim Tebow’s NFL career wasn’t exactly successful, and he’s been remembered more as a meme or as a joke than as an actually good player.
But there was a time when Tebow was actually one of the best prospects on Earth, and his days with the Florida Gators were nothing short of legendary.
That’s why even Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce still has plenty of respect for him up to this day, as he saw firsthand what Tebow was capable of on the field when he was at his best.
In a recent appearance on Barstool Sports’ Pardon My Take, the legendary TE reflected on the time that his Cincinnati Bearcats went against Tebow and the Gators all the way back in the 2010 Sugar Bowl.
"They said Tebow couldn't throw. Well, he threw for like 500 yards that day."

Kelce was in his third year in college, and it was Tebow’s final college game after an illustrious career.
Notably, Kelce says that Tebow threw for like 500 yards that day, even though they had told them that he couldn’t throw at all.
The Gators thrashed the Bearcats, 51-24, but Kelce still thinks it was a fun experience to face arguably one of the greatest college football teams of all time.
Tebow would go on to play three seasons in the NFL and was even the last QB drafted by the Denver Broncos to win a playoff game for them.
Kelce, on the other hand, wound up becoming one of the greatest tight ends in the history of the game.
