Travis Hunter is making a legitimate run for the Heisman Trophy for Colorado this season, and at 4-1, his team has already matched last season’s win total thanks to his prowess on both sides of the ball.
It may be early, but it’s fun to think about what Hunter is going to look like in the NFL since it’s unclear which side of the ball will be his primary focus at the next level or how high he’ll get selected, but a new report suggests he has a preferred landing spot already.
On a recent episode of Sleeper’s Kickin It With Dee, Hunter said “I wish I could go to the Broncos, just to stay in Colorado.”
Travis wouldn’t mind keeping his talents in the Rocky Mountains ?

The comment was made in passing and shouldn’t be taken too seriously, but the Broncos surely could use a guy like him to pair with rookie cornerback Bo Nix on offense or combine with cornerback Pat Surtain II on defense.
Now that the Broncos are on a two-game winning streak, they could already be on a path that takes them out of the Hunter sweepstakes.
Hunter could wind up getting taken in the top five, and if all goes according to plan in Denver, the Broncos won’t be picking that high, but you never know what can happen and a trade up is always a possibility.
Hunter already has 46 catches for 561 yards and six touchdowns on offense and 15 tackles, two interceptions, and a forced fumble on defense.
It’s fun to project Hunter at the next level already, but let’s enjoy his college career while we have it, because who knows if he’ll get the chance to play both corner and receiver at the next level.
