Trae Young of the Atlanta Hawks isn’t forgetting where he came from.
Even though he has found great success in the NBA over the last few years, he still remains close to his alma mater of Oklahoma.
A video that he posted on Instagram, via ClutchPoints, shows Young returning to the Oklahoma gym to play alongside some of the talented students enrolled in the school.
In a scrimmage, Young moved past the other players and also showed off his reliable skills.

The video highlights what makes Young such a special player.
He moves with impressive speed, precise handles, and an ability to shoot from all over the court.
The Oklahoma students playing alongside him surely learned a thing or two about moving across the floor and against opponents because of Young.
Young just had a strong season, averaging 26.2 points and 10.2 assists a game on 42.9% from the field.
While that is one of his lowest field goal percentages in years, Young still showed that he can command his team.
But that team came up short last season.
The Hawks concluded the season in seventh place with an even 41-41 record.
Expectations for the team were really high when the season got started, especially because they had acquired Dejounte Murray.
It was thought that the combination of Young and Murray would put the rest of the Eastern Conference on notice.
Instead, they showed promise but weren’t able to capitalize on it.
No one knows what the new season holds for the Hawks.
But this video proves that Young is definitely going to be prepared for it.
