Playing on the road is a challenging thing for pro athletes, and it takes a special type of grit and motivation to excel in opposing arenas.
It presents a unique set of challenges — daily routines are thrown off, the weather could be nasty, one has to deal with opposing fans and the referees tend to favor the home team.
Atlanta Hawks star Trae Young was asked what is the toughest city for him to play in as far as opposing fans, and he named Philadelphia, with Boston and New York City also getting some honorable mention.

Young got to experience playing in the City of Brotherly Love during the 2021 Eastern Conference semifinals when his Hawks defeated the Philadelphia 76ers.
He and his teammates found a way to overcome the hostile environment and upset the Sixers in both Game 5 and Game 7 at Wells Fargo Center.
Boston is also a rough place to play and Madison Square Garden is no picnic either.
In the 2021 playoffs, a fan at the Garden spit on Young during the first round of the playoffs, but he hit a game-winning shot to take Game 1 of that series in Manhattan.
