The Atlanta Hawks headed into the NBA offseason as a team that could be on the verge of some drastic changes, with the struggling franchise failing to live up to expectations once again during the 2022-23 campaign.
A lot of the rumors about the Hawks during the season and immediately after it ended were connected to superstar guard Trae Young’s future with the team, as many believed the Hawks could try to trade him this summer.
Although things could change at the same time next year, the Hawks seem to be moving forward with the idea of Young remaining the face of the franchise and giving it at least more season to see if he can help the team get some success during the NBA playoffs.
In the meantime, Young has been busy off the court, with the 24-year-old recently getting married and the team’s Twitter account posting this picture of him, his son, and his new wife, Shelby Miller.

Clearly, the last thing on Young’s mind is basketball as he’s trying to take the next steps in setting up his family for the future.
As for the Hawks, the team did make one drastic change this summer, as Atlanta finally traded forward John Collins to the Utah Jazz after years of speculation about his future with the franchise.
Although the team didn’t receive a substantial return for a player of Collins’ caliber, the team can finally close the book on that chapter and move forward with the young players they have in place that might be able to make some noise next season and beyond.
