The Houston Rockets had one of the most memorable duos of the mid-to-late 2000s.
Tracy McGrady and Yao Ming were so fun to watch in their day, and they turned the Rockets into a global brand and helped get the game to Asia.
However, it seems like some fans have forgotten how good Yao was or believe he was overrated, which is why McGrady took some time to set the record straight.
In his latest appearance on The Pat Bev podcast, McGrady raved about how tough and offensively gifted Yao was when he was in the league.
"Yao was one of the most skilled players in his time… He was real tough… I could not get over how big this dude is… Offensively, he was complete though, he had it all."

Ming was one of the most physically imposing players to ever set foot on a basketball court.
And while he didn’t strike with athleticism or wasn’t nearly as dominant as a rebounder as a guy his size should’ve been, he was still a force to be reckoned with and way more offensively talented and more intelligent as a player than the average fan gave him credit for.
Injuries often stood in the way of Ming, McGrady, and the Rockets as well, and they were never able to actually fulfill their potential.
But Ming still deserves a special spot in the history of the league, not only because of how much of a phenom and entertainer he was during his playing days, but also for his remarkable work as an ambassador of the game, helping the NBA reach even more countries and helping guys like McGrady and Kobe Bryant find unmatched commercial success on Asian soil.
