The New York Yankees have a couple of future stars in the outfield.
In addition to Aaron Judge and, possibly, Juan Soto, they have two pieces that fit the long-term puzzle: Jasson Dominguez and Spencer Jones.
The former already made an impression in the major leagues.
The latter is not there yet, but has made huge strides in 2023 and 2024.
Jones, a former first-round draft pick, participated in the Spring Breakout held this month.
He was one of the best players in the short tournament.
“Spencer Jones and Brock Selvidge have been named to MLB’s all-Spring Breakout team,” SNY tweeted.

Jones went 3-for-4, with two home runs and four RBI.
It was only a handful of at-bats, but he showcased his immense raw power and earned a spot among the best performers.
To be fair, he has been raking all spring.
In 12 exhibition games with the Yankees, he has two doubles and a home run and has slashed .444/.565/.722 with a 1.287 OPS.
Perhaps more importantly, he worked four walks and struck out just three times.
Strikeouts are one of Jones’ main weaknesses, but he has shown progress with a promising offseason dedicated to catching the ball out on front to pull it and tap into his huge raw power.
If you consider he hit 16 home runs and stole 43 bases last year in the minors, we are talking about a special prospect who could be a difference-maker in the majors one day.
