Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski, more than former teammates, are friends.
They go way back, from their New England Patriots days, and even shared the field last year in Tampa Bay with the Buccaneers.
It’s not uncommon to see them hang out off the gridiron, as they did in a video recently posted by the quarterback.
They got together to play some baseball.
Brady was seen taking some batting practice swings on a baseball field, with Gronk shagging fly balls in the outfield.
The tight end had no shot at catching the first batted ball by Brady, a screaming liner to center field, but did catch a second fly out shown in the video, and did it with style.
“Tom Brady getting some hacks in, with Gronk shagging in the outfield,” Fox Sports MLB tweeted.

Brady Had A Future In Baseball, But Opted To Play Football
As you probably know, Brady played some baseball in high school and was drafted in the 18th round by the Montreal Expos.
He could have gone higher, but his future was in football, and he knew that.
Expos general manager at the time, Kevin Malone, lauded at Brady’s potential at the catcher position.
He ended up being a passer… in football: one of the best of all times, if not the best.
Brady has already announced he will return to the Buccaneers for at least one more year.
Gronk, however, was still undecided ten days ago, when the last update about the issue was made public.
Will we see the historic quarterback-tight end tandem at least once more on an NFL field?
We should find out in the not so distant future.
