Tom Brady was — at worst — a top-three quarterback in the NFL for two decades straight.
He retired as the most accomplished player in football history, the undisputed GOAT — to some — and owning most of the quarterback-related records, both in the regular season and the playoffs.
Still, it seems like none of that was enough for some fans, as they still want to see him back on the field doing his thing for a little longer.
Needless to say, the fact that he did come back from retirement once doesn’t help, which is why he’s had to go on record multiple times to try and shut down the narrative about a potential second comeback.
He did that again in the latest edition of his Lets Go! Podcast with Jim Gray (via Rick Stroud).
“And I am very excited to never put on a helmet again. I did enough years of that and putting that six-pound helmet on your head in 102-degree heat, believe me, I’m not ever gonna miss that.” Brady said on his Let’s Go! podcast with Jim Gray.

Brady raved about some of his former teammates from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, praising the coaching staff, the front office, and some of the players they have, and stating that he’s definitely going to pull for them and try to catch some of their games.
Brady’s comeback came with plenty of sacrifices, pain, and media attention, and he may not want to go through all that again.
Also, it’s not like he had anything left to prove or win after putting together the single greatest résumé in the history of this game.
