DeAndre Hopkins, one of the NFL’s more talented and productive wide receivers over the last several years, was recently released by the Arizona Cardinals, and several teams are interested in his services.
One of those teams is the Tennessee Titans, who will reportedly meet with him this weekend.
Titans head coach Mike Vrabel said at a media session regarding Hopkins that the team “wants players who want to be here.”

Tennessee had reasonably high hopes for last season, and some even thought they had a great shot at finishing first in the AFC South.
But they won just seven games and missed the playoffs, and their passing offense was a big reason for their poor performance.
They ranked just 28th in passing touchdowns and 30th in passing yards, and quarterback Ryan Tannehill looked like he was starting to show his age.
Hopkins could fix at least some of those issues and help them become more competitive.
Although he was suspended for the first six games of the 2022 campaign for violating the NFL’s performance-enhancing drug policy, he still managed to put up 717 yards and three touchdowns on the season.
The Titans’ most productive receiver in 2022 was veteran Robert Woods, who had a very modest 527 yards and two touchdowns in 17 games.
If they want to get back to the playoffs, they will need a lot more firepower, as the rest of the AFC is absolutely stacked with talent.
Adding Hopkins, if he wants to be there, would be a great first step toward making that happen.
