New Tennessee Titans general manager Mike Borgonzi has barely settled into his office, yet his phone is already buzzing with congratulatory messages and subtle inquiries about the coveted No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
As the team sets its sights on rebuilding, Borgonzi’s approach aligns with the strategy of accumulating picks to strengthen the roster.
Asked about potential moves involving the top pick, Borgonzi maintained a straightforward stance.
“We’re coming to this thing with an open mind. And as you know this, this is a process here. So we’re going to go through everything,” Borgonzi said, via SiriusXM NFL Radio.

The real groundwork, according to Borgonzi, begins after the Senior Bowl.
The team has scheduled 17 days of intensive meetings to evaluate top quarterback prospects and craft their strategy for the No. 1 pick.

In a move to bolster their front office, the Titans brought in additional experienced personnel. Dave Ziegler joins as assistant GM, while Reggie McKenzie steps in as vice president and football advisor.
Both bring valuable NFL general manager experience to the organization. McKenzie’s appointment is particularly noteworthy, as he was initially interviewed for Borgonzi’s position and previously was considered for a role back in 2008.
The timing couldn’t be better for this leadership expansion.
With the No. 1 overall pick in hand and approximately $50 million in salary cap space available, Tennessee faces significant decisions ahead.
