The New York Jets need to address their quarterback situation ASAP; it’s a must if they don’t want to waste another season of their talented youngsters.
So, with Aaron Rodgers reportedly considering a move away from the Green Bay Packers, talking heads and fans alike — and even Joe Namath — have inquired about the possibility of the Jets making a move at him.
Even the team’s ownership didn’t rule out their interest in potentially trying and trading for Rodgers, who could also be tempted to join the Las Vegas Raiders.
However, Aaron Rodgers has a long and well-documented history of not getting along with the mainstream media.
He’s often defensive when people talk about him, his life, and his unorthodox ways, and he recently took a big shot at Ian Rapoport and Adam Schefter by stating that they don’t know anything about him or his inner circle.
That’s why former New York Giants star Tiki Barber believes Rodgers isn’t cut out for the Big Apple:
“As I’m reading the full quotes from his Pat McAfee weekly appearance, talking about Schefter and Rapoport, It just made me start to realize that if he is that sensitive that he gets upset that people, reporters, opinion-makers, influencers — whatever — want to talk about him, he is going to struggle in New York,” Barber said. I don’t know if I want him in New York if this is going to be his reaction to things that don’t matter.”
“If Aaron Rodgers doesn’t want people talking about him, his offseason, his personal life and all these things that are going on with him, he needs to stop talking,” Barber continued.
“When you go and you’re doing something that feels odd to normal society, which is going to sit in a cabin in the woods for four days in complete isolation, we’re gonna talk about it! We have to! It’s our job to!” Barber added. “For him to get offended by it, he’s not going to handle the intensity of the New York media-scape — traditional media, social, everything else — if he’s here. I don’t know if I want him here. Because it’s going to turn to a quick pain if Aaron Rodgers’ skin is that shallow that he’s taking shots at Ian Rapoport!”

Barber claimed that a sensitive guy like Rodgers wouldn’t be able to deal with all the pressure and constant scrutiny of NYC media, especially if he’s so worried about things that happen off the field.
This isn’t a far-fetched take at all.
The 38-year-old gunslinger has gone at the media repeatedly since being called out about his vaccination status during the Covid-19 season, claiming that people are now rooting for his downfall.
So, yeah, he might be the guy they need on the field, but will he be able to handle the heat off of it?
