For the last few seasons, everyone has agreed that the Oklahoma City Thunder are on the verge of being one of the best teams in the Western Conference.
A major reason for that is because of the youthful skill and energy of the team.
Another is that this is a squad with a roster that has had great consistency over the last several seasons.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander spoke about this when talking to the press the other day.
“Us knowing each other, playing with each other, being around each other, and knowing what we’re going to accomplish can only help for next season,” Gilgeous-Alexander said in a video tweeted by the team.

Last season, Gilgeous-Alexander was the leader of the team yet again, averaging more than 30 points and 5 assists a game.
He was joined by players such as Josh Giddey, Lu Dort, Jalen Williams, Isaiah Joe, and others.
Coming into 2023-24, all of those stars are set to return.
They will also be joined by Chet Holmgren, the rookie phenom who missed all of last season because of an offseason injury.
Just like they had before, fans are expecting big things from Holmgren.
In fact, fans are expecting big things from the entire team.
With the power of Gilgeous-Alexander leading them, the Thunder have a chance to reach the playoffs and beyond.
The players know how they perform with one another and they all have a common goal and a strong desire to achieve it.
Some people predict that this could be another stellar season for Gilgeous-Alexander and that he could be in contention for his first MVP trophy.
As for his team, this could be their best season in years.
