The Oklahoma City Thunder have a bright future ahead of them.
All those years of stacking up first-round picks and drafting high-flying athletes have finally paid off, and Mark Daigneault has done an outstanding job of developing his young players.
More than that, this is a team that has built strong chemistry on and off the court, and you can tell that they’re having fun out there.
That was evident following their big win over the Cleveland Cavaliers when Thunder rookie Chet Holmgren trolled his teammate Shai Gilgeous-Alexander in the postgame press conference.
In the presser, Holmgren asked Gilgeous-Alexander how it felt that no one on Earth could guard him, to which the Canadian guard simply responded “next question” while he laughed it off (via Michael Martin).

Chet asked Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, “How does it feel to know nobody can guard you?”
Shai:”Next question.”

Gilgeous-Alexander has picked up right where he left off last season, as he continues to dominate the league as one of the best all-around scorers.
He’s blossoming into one of the league’s most prominent two-way players, playing lockdown defense and carrying the load for his team on offense.
Holmgren, on the other hand, has been as good as advertised early in his career.
While San Antonio Spurs rookie Victor Wembanyama is getting most of the attention, and rightfully so, Holmgren’s ceiling is nearly as high, and he’s had some remarkable performances to start the season
Led by Holmgren, Gilgeous-Alexander, and others, this Thunder team looks poised to make a deep postseason run, and they’re one of the most fun teams to watch night in and night out.
