The Los Angeles Lakers haven’t made massive moves in the offseason (so far) but they have been creating some choices that paint a picture.
It’s obvious that the team is trying to get younger with defense in mind.
A huge part of that plan hinges on Thomas Bryant, the 25-year-old center who LA picked up from the Washington Wizards.
“It’s super surreal for me to be back,” said Thomas Bryant. “For the Lakers organization to want me back, does a lot for my confidence.”

Bryant is a promising player and there is a lot of talk of him being the team’s new starting center, which is a huge honor.
This actually won’t be the first time Bryant plays in Los Angeles: he got his start with the Lakers back in 2017 before heading East to DC.
This second chance for Bryant is important to him.
Bryant recently said, “It’s super surreal for me to be back. For the Lakers organization to want me back, does a lot for my confidence.”
Fans are very excited to see just how much confidence – and skill – Bryant brings back to the City of Angels.
Big Time For A Big Man
Bryant’s career average is 10.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 1.3 assists a game.
Those aren’t huge numbers but he will have much more time on the floor in LA and many more chances to improve his game, especially if he’s the starting center.
Head Coach Darvin Ham is known for his skills on improving big men so there is a lot of hope that he works his magic on Bryant.
Bryant is certainly ready to show how much he wants this responsibility, especially in this city and for this team.
That sort of enthusiasm is needed because the Lakers need a boost of, frankly, everything when the new season starts.
