The Tennessee Titans missed on their last attempt to get a franchise quarterback.
That has been the case for years now.
Marcus Mariota didn’t turn out to be as good as he looked in college, and while Ryan Tannehill was decent, he wasn’t a star.
Malik Willis didn’t look the part, and it’s starting to look like Will Levis won’t be the solution to their woes, either.
That’s why, now that they’re slated to have the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, most people assume they will go with another signal-caller.
Surprisingly, however, it seems like they’re not setting their sights on Shedeur Sanders.
Instead, according to a report by Ben Fawkes, Cam Ward has become the odds-on favorite to go first overall.

Sanders has been considered the best quarterback prospect for most of the year, so this is somewhat surprising.
Ward is the ultimate gunslinger.
He is very athletic and will not hesitate to let it rip and take deep shots down the field.
The Titans have an offensive-minded coach and an interesting set of weapons, but subpar quarterback play set them back multiple times this season.
Ward could hit the ground running in the right environment, and they also have the best offensive line coach in the game.
Of course, there’s also a chance that they decide to run it back with Will Levis and either trade down or target WR/DB Travis Hunter with that pick, but that seems less than likely.
