The New York Yankees just don’t stop winning ballgames.
With their 10-4 blowout victory over the Minnesota Twins on Tuesday night, they became the first team in all of baseball to reach the 40-win plateau.
The Bronx Bombers got some big performances out of their trio of sluggers, Aaron Judge, Anthony Rizzo, and Giancarlo Stanton in their series opener at Target Field.
The Yankees remain seven games ahead of the second-place Toronto Blue Jays in the American League East, owning a +108 run differential.
Talkin’ Yanks, a Yankees fan page on Twitter, tweeted a graphic of several Yankees players, celebrating the team’s accomplishment.

Bow Before The Empire
We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again.
The Evil Empire is back and ready to dominate the entire rest of the league.
They are a fully operational Death Star, as Brian Cashman once said.
This team is chasing history and has essentially mowed down all of their opponents.
And they aren’t slowing down anytime soon.
There’s a lot of time left in the season, and they play in perhaps the toughest division in all of baseball, but they’ve opened up a big lead in the division and are quite a ways ahead of the Houston Astros for the top record in the American League.
Nothing has been able to stop them yet, and now they are the first team in the entire league to reach 40 wins.
Everybody else is at their mercy right now.
The bats are booming, and the pitching staff is dominating other teams’ offenses.
Any doubts that anybody ever had about this team entering the season have been put to rest.
We’ll see how long it takes them to reach 50 wins.
