Monday’s game between the Chicago White Sox and Los Angeles Angels was an interesting one.
The White Sox struck early on a Luis Robert Jr. home run in the top of the first inning.
Right-hander Dylan Cease, who appears to have turned the corner after a bad start to the season, then gave them six innings, allowing just one run, which came on a Shohei Ohtani home run in the bottom of the fourth.
However, it ended in the worst possible way for the White Sox.
With Mike Moustakas at the plate for the Halos in the bottom of the ninth and two runners in scoring position, left-hander Aaron Bummer uncorked a wild pitch that ultimately allowed the winning run to score.
MLB on FOX tweeted the video of the moment.

It was an 83-mph slider from Bummer that went awry and allowed the winning run to score.
Ultimately, it was indicative of how the season has gone for the White Sox.
After signing Andrew Benintendi and Mike Clevinger, the White Sox looked to be in a good position to rebound from a disappointing finish to the 2022 season.
However, they are now 34-46, six games back of first place and likely to be sellers at the trade deadline.
Even Cease could be on the move if the South Siders are unable to pull themselves out of their funk.
The AL Central is perhaps the weakest division in all of baseball, with the first-place Minnesota Twins sitting at .500.
But despite not being too far back, the White Sox are not in an enviable position.
