Brady is a kid who is unfortunately battling glioblastoma, which is an aggressive form of brain cancer.
His diagnosis came in 2020 and he is set to under neurosurgery in the coming days.
Brady’s wish was to spend a day with the White Sox and you can tell from the photos they made it special for him.
His favorite player is Jake Burger, who hosted the entire Nelson family at the ballpark.
We have seen moments like this from teams before and they always seen to be heartwarming.
Also, the White Sox are no strangers to a cancer diagnosis.
Their closer Liam Hendriks was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma before the season and is now in remission.
Hendriks is a first-hand example that cancer can be defeated.
Nelson was able to do things before the game like take batting practice and throw out the ceremonial first pitch.
Even though the White Sox are not having a good season this is one of their highlights.
It was an awesome moment for a young fan going through a tough time.
Here’s to Brady Nelson in hoping he has a successful surgery and can strike out cancer.
