The Houston Texans have struggled to find a head coach over the past few seasons.
Over the past two seasons, the Texans have had two different head coaches and are looking for a third this offseason.
Changing coaches every offseason will never be the right approach.
Especially because the Texans do not have a franchise quarterback on their roster.
It is time for the Texans to find someone that can come in and build a winning culture.
That coach seems to be San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator DeMeco Ryans.
#49ers DC DeMeco Ryans has emerged as a top candidate for the #Texans, sources tell me and @TomPelissero. He’s expected to meet with Houston at some point next week after the game. There is mutual interest and if all goes well, he could be their next head coach. pic.twitter.com/Wj2htQYEd1

He has been one of the top coordinators in football over the past two seasons, and the 49ers’ defense proves that.
In most measures, the 49ers were the top defense in the NFL this season.
They ranked first in yards, and points per game, and Ryans deserves plenty of credit for that.
Ryans has deep connections to the Texans as well.
He played six seasons there where he won Defensive Rookie of the Year and made two Pro Bowl teams.
If Ryans is indeed the next Texans head coach he will have his hands full.
His first job should be to find a franchise quarterback for the team.
Luckily, the Texans will be selecting second overall and should have their pick of one of the top three quarterbacks in the draft.
You cannot be successful in the NFL without a good quarterback, and the Texans have been looking for one for years.
Overall, Ryans deserves his shot at being a head coach, and his former team looks like the perfect job.
