The Houston Texans have been extremely busy during the offseason.
Not only did they draft their future franchise quarterback in C.J. Stroud, but they also added Will Anderson Jr., a premier edge rusher in the draft.
They have taken massive strides to improve upon their 2022 season, a campaign that resulted in a 3-13-1 record.
The Texans have recently added another piece to their team, according to Aaron Wilson.

Byron Cowart, a former member of the New England Patriots, Indianapolis Colts, and Kansas City Chiefs, has joined the Texans.
Cowart is a defensive tackle and will be entering his fifth NFL season in 2023.
In the previous four NFL seasons, Cowart has played in 36 total games, totaled 41 tackles, and has one career sack.
Ultimately, Cowart could just be a practice squad member for the Texans or a depth piece on their defensive line.
Having strong edge rushers to help stop the run is paramount in the NFL, especially against teams with mobile quarterbacks.
This is a new fad in the NFL, as teams move away from traditional pocket passers.
Anderson is a highly-touted edge rusher, and he should be a welcomed addition to this defense.
Even if Cowart doesn’t see the field much, he could at least be a mentor to Anderson as he learns what it’s like to be in the league.
The Texans had a 3-13-1 record last season and will look to greatly improve upon that.
Will their newest additions be able to get them over the hump, making it back to the playoffs?
