The New Orleans Saints are entering next season with playoff expectations.
One of the main issues they had the past few seasons was poor quarterback play.
But that should not be the case in 2023.
The Saints agreed to a four-year contract with former Raiders quarterback Derek Carr this offseason.
He is now their franchise quarterback and someone they plan to build around.
For any quarterback to be successful, they need to have good players around them.
That is why the Saints are looking to upgrade their wide receiver room.
According to Jeremy Fowler, wide receiver James Washington is visiting the Saints on Monday.

Former second-round pick dealt with foot injury with Dallas last season but is healthy now. Had promising moments in Pittsburgh with 1,629 yards and 11 TDs from 2018-21.

Washington has not played a full season since 2021.
He was a part of the Steelers that year and caught 24 passes for 285 yards and two touchdowns.
Last season he spent most of the year injured and only appeared in two games for the Cowboys.
Washington has failed to live up to his second-round draft capital.
He has 114 receptions for 1,629 yards and 11 touchdowns in his five-year career.
At this point, Washington is nothing more than a fourth or fifth wide receiver.
The Saints have Michael Thomas, Chris Olave, and Rashid Shaheed in place.
So, Washington would not have to play a major role.
The Saints will benefit from playing in the worst division in football next year.
Carr is by far the most experienced quarterback in the division.
His play should be enough for the Saints to make it back to the postseason for the first time since 2020.
