The Houston Rockets signaled that the franchise is seriously trying to head in another direction when the team hired former Boston Celtics head coach Ime Udoka to be their new leader on the sideline.
The addition of Udoka showed that the team is committed to getting back to their winning ways, as he is arguably one of the best coaches in the league and has proven he can help turn a team around with what he did in Boston.
Along with Udoka, the Rockets have been linked to a number of free agents this summer, including Brook Lopez, Austin Reaves, Fred VanVleet, and James Harden.
It seems as though the franchise is tired of losing and is finally ready to do what needs to be done in order to turn things around, and that may also include altering the team’s logo, via Bradeaux.

Usually when a team in any professional rebrands like this, they’re trying to right the ship and have plans for big moves in order to leave their losing ways behind them.
That might be what the Rockets intend to do this summer, as the team does have some promising young talent to build around like Jabari Smith Jr., Jalen Green, Alperen Sengun, and Amen Thompson.
Obviously, a lot needs to happen in Houston in order for the team to start heading in the right direction, but it’s possible the team does enough this offseason to at least flirt with the possibility of being a playoff team or a play-in team next season.
