The Baltimore Ravens have made a lot of headlines during this NFL offseason, with the bulk of the attention being on superstar quarterback Lamar Jackson and whether he’d be back with the team for the foreseeable future.
All signs seemed to point to a disappointing end to the contract standoff between Jackson and the Ravens, but after Jalen Hurts signed a contract extension with the Philadelphia Eagles, the talks with Jackson kicked into high gear and got done ahead of the 2023 NFL Draft.
With Jackson back in the fold and superstar Odell Beckham Jr. signing with the team as well, Baltimore is moving forward with high hopes of competing for a Super Bowl title and may have taken another step forward on Wednesday.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Ravens have inked cornerback Rock Ya-Sin, formerly of the Las Vegas Raiders, to a one-year deal.

The main focus for the Ravens this NFL offseason has been putting as much talent as possible around Jackson to make the offense as potent as ever during the 2023 campaign.
However, the signing of Ya-Sin is a step in the right direction for the defense for next season, as he could play a significant role in the secondary for Baltimore.
Although Ya-Sin didn’t make a huge impact on the defensive side of the football in Las Vegas last season, he did play well during his time with the Indianapolis Colts in the first three years of his NFL career, and a change of scenery could result in a bounce-back season.
