It was very unfortunate for the Baltimore Ravens to lose running backs J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards during the 2021 preseason.
Both of them had solid 2020 campaigns, and their tandem could have given Baltimore the league’s best rushing offense.
The Ravens survived by signing Devonta Freeman and Latavius Murray in their absence.
However, those acquisitions were still not enough to secure a playoff berth, especially when the Ravens lost several key players to injury.
With the 2022 season, there’s still uncertainty regarding the conditions of both Dobbins and Edwards.
There’s no word if Dobbins will be ready for Week 1 while Edwards is on the physically unable to perform list.
The Ravens are looking to sign a veteran to address their needs at the position.
RB Kenyan Drake is visiting the Ravens today, source confirms. Expectation is he'll sign, pending physical.
Baltimore remains uncertain whether J.K. Dobbins (knee) will be ready for Week 1 and Gus Edwards (knee) is out for at least first 4 games.@RapSheet was first to report.

Drake’s NFL Journey, So Far
The former Alabama standout was selected by the Miami Dolphins in the third round of the 2016 NFL Draft.
He spent the better part of four seasons with the squad, and his best year came in 2017 when he finished with 644 yards and three touchdowns.
After six games with the Dolphins in 2019, he was traded to the Arizona Cardinals.
Drake had 643 rushing yards and eight touchdowns in eight games played.
He would have the best year of his career in 2020 when he contributed 995 yards and ten touchdowns.
Last season, he played for the Las Vegas Raiders and finished with 254 yards and two touchdowns in 12 games.
Drake will be a nice addition to a Ravens squad that will start their 2022 season against the New York Jets on September 11.
