Many head coaching jobs in the NBA became available recently, with several teams, even a few perennial title contenders, parting ways with their head coaches.
One team that didn’t waste any time in making a decision on their head coach was the Toronto Raptors, with the team parting ways with Nick Nurse after five years back in April.
The Raptors’ head coaching job has been vacant ever since, with the majority of open jobs at head coach around the league being filled, with Frank Vogel joining the Phoenix Suns being the most recent.
Even Nurse has found a new home in the league, as he recently agreed to be Doc Rivers’ successor with the Philadelphia 76ers.
Unlike the Suns, 76ers, and Milwaukee Bucks, the Raptors’ job isn’t as attractive, with an extensive rebuilding process expected in Toronto next season and for the foreseeable future.
With so many big-name coaches already finding new jobs, it remains to be seen who will be the next coach of the Raptors.

One viable option for the Raptors is two-time NBA Coach of the Year Mike Budenholzer, who has quite the resume when it comes to championship experience.
Budenholzer won a title with the Bucks a few years ago and was on Gregg Popovich’s coaching staff for four of the five titles the San Antonio Spurs won during the Tim Duncan era.
The former Bucks head coach is arguably the best option left on the table for the Raptors, but it remains to be seen whether the two sides have talked or will talk.
