The Texas Rangers began the 2023 season with high hopes after a very busy offseason in which they made significant upgrades to their starting rotation.
They added Jacob deGrom, Andrew Heaney, and Nathan Eovaldi in free agency to bolster their rotation.
deGrom is out dealing with an elbow injury, but that hasn’t hurt the Rangers starting staff too much.
In fact, the starting rotation is performing quite well as of late.
In their last 10 games, they have allowed two runs or less.
That adds up to a microscopic ERA of 1.55.
On Twitter, MLB Network posted some interesting numbers which show just how dangerous Texas’ rotation has become, even with deGrom on the shelf.

The starting staff is simply on a roll as of late.
Eovaldi has been their ace with deGrom out.
After being signed to a two-year, $34 million contract, Eovaldi owns a record of 7-2 with an ERA of 2.42 in his 11 starts.
He also has struck out 70 batters in 74.1 innings of work and owns a WHIP of 1.00.
Heaney also has pitched admirably.
The veteran left-hander appears to have overcome his injury struggles from recent years.
In 10 starts, Heaney is 4-3 with a 3.76 ERA over 55 innings pitched.
Heaney also has struck out 55 batters and owns a WHIP of 1.15.
The Rangers rotation has simply been on another level over the past 10 games and is shaping up to be one of the most elite rotations in the entire league this season.
Texas owns a 3.69 team ERA, the third-best in all of baseball.
