The Las Vegas Raiders have experienced their fair share of turnover during the 2023 NFL offseason.
They released Derek Carr, who later signed a contract with the New Orleans Saints.
Recently, Darren Waller was traded to the New York Giants, after being unable to come to an agreement with the Raiders.
Now, the Raiders are without a superstar tight end and are on the hunt to try and find a replacement.
While it will be difficult to replace Waller’s place on this offense, the Raiders recently brought in OJ Howard, per Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network.
A possible Darren Waller replacement? Sources say the #Raiders are hosting former first-round TE OJ Howard, a pass-catcher who can help stretch the defense. The former #Bucs pick had 10 starts for the #Texans last year.

Howard was drafted 19th overall in 2017 by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Now, he might get the chance to shine on the Raiders, who are without a primary tight end.
In his six NFL seasons, Howard has amassed 1,882 receiving yards, 129 receptions, and 17 receiving touchdowns.
If signed, Howard would link up with Jimmy Garoppolo, the new quarterback for the Raiders.
He could serve as a complementary pass-catcher to Devante Adams, given his 6-foot-6 frame.
The AFC West is set to be a difficult division again in 2023.
Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs aren’t slowing down, and it appears that the Denver Broncos and Los Angeles Chargers are also out for revenge.
With this in mind, the Raiders will need to make several moves in order to keep up.
Howard could be one of the first dominos to fall.
What’s next for this team, as they will move forward with a new quarterback and a completely new-look offense?
