The NBA free agency period begins on Friday at 6 p.m. ET.
But plenty of trades can be made before players decide to sign with a new team.
The next few days will be crazy with the number of rumors and potential signings that could happen.
One exciting deal already went down on Friday afternoon between the Brooklyn Nets and Detroit Pistons.
According to Shams Charania, the Nets are trading Joe Harris to the Pistons for two second-round picks.

This is not a major deal but it was one the Nets needed to make to get out of the Harris contract.
Brooklyn is hoping to create cap room and they were able to do that with this move.
Harris was not very effective last season for the Nets.
He played in 74 games and averaged 7.6 points per game.
But he was effective from three-point range, shooting 42.6% from three.
Harris has always been known as a shooter and that is what he will bring to Detroit.
The Pistons are a young team in the middle of a rebuild but they could use a veteran like Harris.
He will be 32 years old next season and he is in the final year of his contract.
But the Pistons have to pay Harris a little over $19 million in guaranteed money next year.
We see teams dump salaries like this all the time.
Now it will be interesting to see what the Nets do with their new cap space and if they can add an impact player.
