The Carolina Panthers made several additions after their rookie minicamp, including three former XFL players.
According to Dov Kleiman, Frank Reich’s team signed Jordan Thomas, who worked out as both outside linebacker and tight end.
The 6-foot-5, 265-pound specimen was reportedly quite impressive during the camp, but the team has yet to decide where to play him.
Update: The #Panthers are signing former #XFL TE Jordan Thomas, who was signed as Linebacker, so he's making a late-career position switch.
During his time on the XFL, he made this amazing play off a fake punt.

This will be his second chance to play in the NFL after being drafted by the Houston Texans in the sixth round of the NFL Draft out of Mississippi State, albeit with no success.
He was a part of Indianapolis Colts camp in 2021 — also with Frank Reich — and also spent some time with the Arizona Cardinals, New England Patriots, and Detroit Lions before taking his talents to the XFL.
Notably, the Panthers also added WR Gary Jennings, who played at West Virginia and also had ties to Reich as a member of the Colts’ offseason roster in 2021.
He was a part of the Kansas City Chiefs, Las Vegas Raiders, Buffalo Bills, Baltimore Ravens, Miami Dolphins, and Seattle Seahawks before trying his luck in the XFL.
Last, but not least, the Panthers also signed DE Antwuan Jackson, a former Ohio State Buckeye who took part in the New York Giants’ camp last offseason.
It’s nice to see that NFL scouts and staffers are keeping an open mind about players from other leagues, and props to the XFL for helping these guys stay ready.
