The Baltimore Orioles are once again having a successful season.
After shocking the league last season and finishing over .500, their success this season is not as surprising.
The Orioles have a few key players that are once again stepping up this season.
They have finally created a roster that is capable of competing over a full 162-game season.
One player that got off to a slow start is outfielder Anthony Santander.
But since the end of April, Santander has been one of the Orioles’ best hitters.
Coming into their May 18 game, Santander has been awesome the last three weeks.
According to Baseball Muse, he is hitting .339 with five home runs in that stretch.

Santander is one of many big bats in the Orioles lineup.
He is a big reason for their 28-15 start to the season.
That record has the O’s in second place in the AL East, only behind the Tampa Bay Rays.
Last season they were a good story.
But this year the Orioles have plans to return to the playoffs for the first time since 2016.
While their pitching remains a question mark, they have been carried by their bats.
The Orioles rank eighth in the MLB in runs scored with 215.
Also, they have many disciplined hitters, ranking third in the league in walks with 161.
Having players that can get on base in a multitude of ways is a great way to consistently score runs.
Getting Santander back on track adds to an already potent lineup in Baltimore.
