The Baltimore Orioles have always been an under-the-radar team.
Many people around baseball have not taken them seriously in a long time.
Even last year when they were fighting for a playoff berth the Orioles were not respected as true contenders.
Well, no one can take away what the Orioles have accomplished this year.
They are the best team in the American League and chasing the top spot in all of baseball.
With less than two weeks to go in the season, the Orioles are nipping at the heels of the Atlanta Braves.

That is an important honor to hold.
Mostly because the team with the best record in the World Series gets home-field advantage.
Having home-field advantage can play a major factor in who wins the Fall Classic.
That is why playing the rest of the regular season out is vital for both teams.
Also, the Orioles are still in a tight battle with the Tampa Bay Rays for the AL East title.
One of those two teams will have 95+ wins and make the playoffs via the Wild Card.
Everything has seemingly come together this year for the Orioles.
They have a bunch of young players who stepped up their game and have gotten strong pitching from some unlikely sources.
Many people thought the starting pitchers would hold the Orioles back this year.
But, that has not been the case.
The Orioles have been one of the most fun teams to watch this year.
We will get to see them in the playoffs for the first time since 2016.
