The Denver Nuggets seem to be on their way to their first-ever NBA championship after sweeping the Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference Finals.
One sign that the Larry O’Brien Trophy is on its way to the Rocky Mountains is the fact that the Nuggets remain undefeated at home during the playoffs.
In fact, as of now, they’re the only undefeated team at home remaining in the postseason.

Traditionally, one part of the formula for a championship team is to win the majority of home games and take care of at least half of the games a team plays on the road.
Denver struggled on the road in the first two rounds of the playoffs against the Minnesota Timberwolves and Phoenix Suns, but they took care of business very well in Game 6 of the second round versus Phoenix and in Game 3 and Game 4 in L.A.
The Nuggets may not be the type of elite defensive team that typically wins a world title, but they’re an outstanding offensive team that is equally deadly on the fast break and in early offense as they are when the game slows down.
They have the top offensive rating of the 16 teams that qualified for the playoffs and are averaging 116.4 points a game in the playoffs.
During the regular season, Denver had the best record in the West, but some wondered if they were truly ready to take that next step.
But now, it looks like an NBA championship is all but an inevitability for Nikola Jokic and crew.
