A few years ago, there were some analysts who said the NBA Western Conference was lacking powerful superstar athletes.
Times have changed drastically since then.
On Wednesday night, Kevin Durant departed the Brooklyn Nets for the Phoenix Suns, adding yet another incredible player to the conference and giving fans a jolt of energy.
LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Steph Curry, and Kawhi Leonard are all in the same DIVISION.

Now LeBron James, Durant, Stephen Curry, and Kawhi Leonard are not only in the same conference but they are all actually competing in the same division.
Durant’s move west greatly improves that division and totally shakes up the division and conference in just about every single way.
His move also shows just how influential the NBA trade deadline can be.
Reports from inside the Nets suggest that this deal came together quickly and was initiated because Durant himself wanted to leave Brooklyn for Phoenix.
By doing so, he shocked the rest of the teams he will be playing against.
The Pacific Division in the NBA Western Conference consists of five teams: the Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Clippers, Los Angeles Lakers, Phoenix Suns, and Sacramento Kings.
As of Thursday morning, the Kings are leading the division for the first time in years with a strong 31-23 record.
The Suns, however, are right behind them at 30-26.
That number is sure to change when Durant is finally healthy again and ready to play.
For years, the Warriors have been the team to beat in the West but this major deal might change that for the next few seasons.
The Pacific Division just woke up to an enormous change and everyone is trying to adjust to this new reality and the competition it’ll bring.
