Over the last few years, the NBA has been filled with terrific point and shooting guards.
Most people can agree that this is a guard-heavy league now.
This is mostly because of the amazing work of Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors.
When Curry rose to such prominence in the league, other teams, players, and coaches took note and started to invest in guards who could play like him.
Now the NBA is populated with some of the best guards in the history of the league.

Bleacher Report compiled its list of the top ten guards in the league right now.
Surprisingly, Curry doesn’t sit at the top of the list.
That honor instead goes to Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks with Curry coming in second place.
Behind them is Ja Morant of the Memphis Grizzlies, Trae Young of the Atlanta Hawks, Devin Booker of the Phoenix Suns, Damian Lillard of the Portland Trail Blazers, James Harden of the Philadelphia 76ers, Donovan Mitchell of the Cleveland Cavaliers, Kyrie Irving of the Brooklyn Nets, and Bradley Beal of the Washington Wizards.
Which of these stars is about to have the best season?
Doncic For MVP
There are quite a few people predicting that Doncic will have his best season yet in 2022-23.
Numerous analysts think he could win his first MVP trophy when the season comes to an end, even if his Mavs don’t make the Finals.
However, no one should count out Morant, Young, or Booker.
Even veteran players like Harden, Lillard, and Beal could have breakout seasons too.
Every guard on this list is an incredible player and each has something to prove in the months ahead.
